Option One: If you have a CRA My Account, please log in and add Covured Inc. as your level 2 representative. Open the attached pdf and follow the instructions:

Option Two: If you do not have a CRA My Account:

If you do not have a CRA My Account, please use the Upload Documents form on the home page and upload:

• Your Driver’s License

• Your Social Insurance Number (SIN)

✔ Ensure the address on your ID is current
✔ All information must match CRA’s records exactly

Once we receive your documents:

1. We will submit an authorization request through CRA on your behalf

2. We will email you a secure form to e-sign

3. Once you accept/sign, we will finalize the authorization

Documents must be uploaded using our secure Upload Documents form. Please do not email sensitive information.​

Option Three: Bypass authorization

If you choose to proceed without authorization, we will prepare your return using only the information you provide. We will not have access to CRA records which can lead to a reassessment, and we will not be able to represent you.

Why has this authorization method changed?

CRA regulations now require client authorization to be completed directly through CRA My Account before tax professionals can access records.
